History of Elland Road

The record crowd of 57,892 came for an FA Cup fifth-round replay against Sunderland on 15 March 1967. Statues of Billy Bremner (1999) and Don Revie (2012) stand outside the ground.

Planning permission was granted in January 2026 to expand the ground to around 53,000, with work on the West Stand starting in June 2026 and due for completion around 2030.
