The Vitality Stadium, also called Dean Court, is the home of AFC Bournemouth and one of the smallest grounds in the Premier League. It sits in Kings Park in Boscombe, and the compact size gives it an excellent matchday atmosphere.

History of Vitality Stadium

Dean Court opened in 1910. It was completely rebuilt in 2001 with the pitch turned through ninety degrees, and it is now a three-sided stadium with the south end developed. The Ted MacDougall Stand, with 2,400 seats, was added in 2013. The record crowd of 28,799 came on 2 March 1957 for an FA Cup tie against Manchester United.

James Hayter scored the fastest hat-trick in Football League history here, in 2 minutes 20 seconds, on 24 February 2004. The Vitality name has applied since July 2015, and the club has plans to expand the ground to around 20,000 seats.

Visiting supporters have a dedicated away section. With a capacity of 12,357 the allocation is small and away tickets are among the hardest in the league to get.
