When are the Champions League league phase matches?
Matchday 1: 8–10 September 2026

How did the draw work?
Teams get eight different opponents during the draw. At the start of the season, teams are grouped into four pots based on club coefficient points. The Champions League winner is always in pot 1.
Each team receives two opponents from each pot. The team plays one game at home and one game away for each pair of opponents.
During the league phase, teams must follow two rules:
- Teams cannot play against opponents from their own country.
- Teams can play against a maximum of two opponents from any other single country.
